Supported Operating Systems

Last updated: June 10, 2026

McNair Media builds and maintains web applications that are tested against modern, vendor-supported operating systems. To keep your data secure and our software reliable, we follow a simple, predictable support policy. This page lists the operating systems our web applications currently support.

Our Support Policy

For any given operating system, we support the current public release and the one release immediately before it — in other words, the current version and the previous version. Any older release, and any release whose vendor has ended support, is considered unsupported.

This “current-plus-previous” approach means our applications are always validated against the software the overwhelming majority of users actually run, while still giving you a reasonable window to upgrade after a new version ships. Versions that a vendor has only just announced but not yet made generally available (for example, a release still in beta or preview) are added to our supported list once they ship as the new current release.

Microsoft Windows

Operating System Version Status
Windows 11 25H2 (current release) Supported
Windows 11 24H2 (previous release) Supported
Windows 10 22H2 and earlier Not supported

Windows 11, version 25H2 is the current public release of Windows 11 and is fully supported. Windows 11, version 24H2 is the release immediately before it and therefore remains supported under our current-plus-previous policy. A forthcoming 26H1 / 26H2 feature update is not part of our supported matrix yet, and will be added once Microsoft makes it generally available.

Windows 10 is no longer supported

McNair Media does not support Windows 10.

The final feature update for Windows 10 was Windows 10, version 22H2, which Microsoft released on October 18, 2022. No newer version of Windows 10 was ever released after that date.

Microsoft ended all support for Windows 10 on October 14, 2025. Since that date, Windows 10 no longer receives security updates, bug fixes, or technical support from Microsoft. Continuing to use it is a security risk, and we are unable to support our web applications on it.

If you are still running Windows 10, we strongly recommend upgrading to a supported release of Windows 11 (version 24H2 or 25H2) as soon as possible to remain secure and fully supported.

Apple

Operating System Version Status
macOS macOS 26 (Tahoe) (current release) Supported
macOS macOS 15 (Sequoia) (previous release) Supported
iOS iOS 26 (current release) Supported
iOS iOS 18 (previous release) Supported
iPadOS iPadOS 26 (current release) Supported
iPadOS iPadOS 18 (previous release) Supported

Apple released macOS 26 (Tahoe), iOS 26, and iPadOS 26 in September 2025 under its year-based version numbering. These are the current releases and the immediately preceding releases (macOS 15 Sequoia, iOS 18, and iPadOS 18) are also supported. Apple previewed version 27 of each operating system at WWDC in June 2026, but those releases are not generally available yet; they will be added to this list when Apple ships them in the fall.

Google

Operating System Version Status
Android Android 16 (current release) Supported
Android Android 15 (previous release) Supported
ChromeOS Current stable channel (and immediately preceding stable release) Supported

Android 16 is the current release and Android 15 is the previous release; both are supported. Android 17 is still in beta and will be added once Google releases it as the new current version.

Because ChromeOS updates itself automatically on a frequent schedule, we support Chromebooks running the current stable channel and the release immediately before it. To stay supported, keep automatic updates enabled and make sure your device is still within its Auto Update Expiration (AUE) date — once a Chromebook passes its AUE date it stops receiving ChromeOS updates from Google and we are no longer able to support it.
